ATLANTA – Oct. 24, 2013 – With the explosive growth and reach of social media, marketing professionals worldwide are in need of targeted social media training to help them use it effectively. To help meet that need, Red Book Connect, a global cloud software company serving the restaurant and broader retail industries, announced today that it has added Splash Media U’s accredited social media training to Schoox, Red Book Connect’s learning management platform created for independent e-learning. Schoox is now able to offer accredited social media education to its subscriber base through its partnership with Splash Media U, which has more than 700 video lessons covering a vast array of social media marketing strategies.
“In today’s digital marketplace, relevant and effective use of social media is paramount to companies worldwide, particularly those in the restaurant industry,” said Larry Abramson, CEO of Red Book Connect. “Our restaurant customers have told us they desperately need social media training but don’t have the time or resources to develop it on their own. With this partnership with Splash Media U, we are adding best in class content to give restaurateurs one place to go for training on a wide variety of subjects including social media so they can focus on running their restaurant. Splash Media U’s ability to break down social media training into bite sized pieces for optimal learning will be a huge benefit to our subscriber base.”
When it comes to using social media and reaching the right audiences, the restaurant industry has one of the strongest needs for a targeted social media strategy and presence to connect with Generation Y and promote its brands. According to the National Restaurant Association, restaurant industry sales are projected to total $660.5 billion in 2013 and equal four percent of the U.S. gross domestic product. However many restaurants struggle with finding the right mix of social media marketing to bring in new customers. Through Red Book Connect’s partnership with Splash Media U, world class content will now be available both to restaurateurs and their employees, who can take advantage of this curriculum to receive an accredited certification and help build their career.
“Schoox is in a field of its own when it comes to learning management systems and user experience,” said Mark Hitchner, President and CEO of Splash Media L.P. “We are truly excited about reaching the Schoox subscribers with our training and feel like this is a partnership whereby we can maximize each other’s strengths for a user experience like no other. We look forward to a long lasting relationship training thousands of people globally through the Schoox platform.”
