The Inc. 500|5000 award represents the most comprehensive look at America’s most successful independent entrepreneurs. HotSchedules was recognized for its 3-year sales growth of 163%, and is listed among other familiar companies including Facebook, Zappos, Jamba Juice, Clif Bar, Levi Strauss and many others. Collectively, the Inc. 500|5000 winners created over 400,000 jobs in the past three years and aggregate revenue reached $299 billion.

The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 list is compiled according to percentage revenue growth from 2008 compared to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008, be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent as of December 31, 2011. There are also minimum revenue requirements.
