New mobile training app is first available for iOS and Android with single sign-on, enabling training anywhere, anytime
SAN FRANCISCO – March 6, 2014 – Red Book Connect, a global technology solutions provider for the restaurant industry, announced today that Schoox, its powerful social eLearning training platform, is the first e-Learning app available as an iOS and Android app with a single sign-on through HotSchedules, Red Book Connect’s employee scheduling and communication app. Users can now build and use customizable e-learning academies via the web and mobile app.
Schoox allows restaurant owners and managers to create a culture of continued education, development and training standards for their team. Customers can create their own branded training academy, convert existing training documents to online courses, upload files, videos and Web content, assign training criteria by jobs or store locations, track employee progress with a powerful reporting dashboard and add professional third party training content to their academy simply by dragging and dropping. Now Red Book Connect’s 1.2 million users can seamlessly login with one user name and password for all their hiring, training and scheduling needs.
According to Nielsen, more than 65% of Americans now own a smartphone, and the Pew Research Center found that more than a third of Americans own tablets. Cisco estimated that by the end of 2013 there were more mobile-connected devices in the world than people. Restaurant managers and hourly employees are constantly on the go and their tools should be mobile as well.
