Ben Hood is Chief Executive Officer at HotSchedules and Fourth.
Ben has spent his career in retail and hospitality. He trained with Tesco where he focused in retail operations and spent two years with Cap Gemini on the Tesco future team. After eleven years, he joined Fourth as employee #1 and worked closely with the Lilleys (Fourth’s founders) in developing our vision. He has been the driving force behind our strategy, has successfully acquired eight businesses and oversaw the 2011 management buyout, the 2015 acquisition by Insight Venture Partners and the current merger of Fourth and HotSchedules. Ben enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, playing sport and trying to keep fit.
CO-FOUNDER, CHIEF CUSTOMER OFFICER
David Cantu is Chief Customer Officer and the Co-founder of HotSchedules. He is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by engaging with them at all levels to collect and disseminate customer feedback throughout the company.
David’s 17+ years of restaurant operations experience have contributed to HotSchedules’ product development and innovative solutions to improve restaurant operations scheduling efficiencies, labor management, and increased employee engagement. David attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, and lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and three children. He is an active member of Vistage International, an executive peer advisory program, and enjoys running, fishing, water sports, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Texas and escaping to the wine country or beach whenever possible.
CHIEF GROWTH OFFICER
Simon Bocca is Chief Growth Officer responsible the Sales and Marketing teams.
Simon joined Fourth in 2004. Before then, he enjoyed a ten-year career at The Savoy Group, including management positions in hotels and corporate offices. He’s responsible for the operational strategy, which includes implementation, customer service, bureau services, sales and marketing. Simon enjoys lots of eating out, which is offset by cycling with his two black Labradors
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Matt Leone is the Chief Operating Officer leading the Customer Management organization, Global Enterprise Services team, and Business Operations team.
Matt has over 20 years in the software industry sector where he held numerous executive leadership positions. Most recently he served as Global Head of SAP Cloud Adoption and Revenue Retention, including one of SAP’s largest Cloud units, SuccessFactors. Prior to that role, Matt spent 11 years at Ariba, an SAP company. He earned a BS in Finance from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Christian Berthelsen is Chief Technology Officer of HotSchedules and Fourth.
Early in his career Christian developed web applications and inventory control solutions at FnBshop.com, a private SaaS company he co-founded and sold to Fourth in 2003. He has over 21 years of software engineering and management experience, and oversees the product roadmap, development and infrastructure of all our software. Christian enjoys scuba diving, Formula One and trips to his native Copenhagen.
CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER
John Herbst is responsible for all legal operations as Chief Legal Officer.
Prior to joining HotSchedules, John led legal departments and corporate development functions at public and private growth and technology oriented companies, including Adknolwedge, Inc., Fiberweb plc and Pentax Corporation. John also spent 8 years in private practice as a corporate attorney with Clifford Chance (in New York and London) and Lowenstein Sandler (New York). John holds a B.A. in political Science from James Madison University, a J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University and an M.B.A. jointly granted by NYU Stern Business School, London School of Economics and HEC, Paris.
HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES
As Head of Human Resources, Granya Gormley is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
In this role, Granya is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the global HR team, driving key HR initiatives including talent management, performance management, learning and development and employee engagement. Prior to joining HotSchedules, Granya held the leadership role of Vice President, Human Resources and Training for Gatti’s Pizza and worked with New World Restaurant Group for 10 years, lastly in the position of Director of Human Resources. A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Communications, Granya and her family resides in Austin, Texas.
