Mike Arenth is the President & CEO of HotSchedules. Previously, Mr. Arenth worked as a Senior Advisor for Silver Lake. Prior to Silver Lake, he served as Executive Vice President for SAP, where he oversaw the Ariba business. Before joining SAP in 2012, Mr. Arenth spent ten years at Ariba, where he was most recently Senior Vice President & General Manager, responsible for cloud software sales, the business network, customer management and professional services in North America, EMEA & APAC.
Prior to joining Ariba in 2002, Mr. Arenth worked for Andersen Business Consulting in the Supply Chain Management practice. Mr. Arenth holds a B.A. in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
CO-FOUNDER, CHIEF CUSTOMER OFFICER
As Chief Customer Officer, David is responsible for sales and building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by engaging with them at all levels to collect and disseminate customer feedback throughout the company. Prior to becoming CCO, David was the vice president of Business Development and co-founder of HotSchedules, Inc. Through his leadership, HotSchedules repeatedly achieved more than 40 percent annual growth goals and was consistently recognized on the Inc. 5000 and Austin Business Journal’s Fast 50 growth indexes.
David’s 17+ years of restaurant operations experience have contributed to HotSchedules’ product development and innovative solutions to improve restaurant operations scheduling efficiencies, labor management, and increased employee engagement. David attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and three children. He is an active member of Vistage International, an executive peer advisory program, and enjoys running, fishing, water sports, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Texas and escaping to the wine country or beach whenever possible.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER & HEAD OF PRODUCT
Sean Fitzpatrick is Chief Operating Officer & Head of Product at HotSchedules. He oversees product strategy & design across the HotSchedules portfolio. In addition to product, Sean is responsible for managing HotSchedules customer operations. Prior to joining HotSchedules, Sean was global vice president of Strategy & Product Management at Oracle Corporation.
He has over 15 years of executive management experience in the technology industry and has held senior leadership and strategy positions with BearingPoint, BroadVision and Nokia. Sean attended Trinity College and Portobello College in Dublin, Ireland and has a bachelor’s degree in Business and Management. He lives in Austin and enjoys coaching kids’ rugby, running and spending time with his family.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
A technology executive with more than 22 years of experience, Bijal Patel joins HotSchedules from Aptean, a global provider of enterprise software solutions. As Executive Vice President and CFO, Patel was responsible for the company’s finance, legal, facilities and IT functions. Prior to joining Aptean, Patel held several executive finance roles at Misys, a global provider of software solutions focused on the financial services industry.
Earlier in his career, Patel served over a decade in various finance and commercial leadership positions at IBM. He was primarily based in the UK, leading teams across Ireland, Netherlands and South Africa. He was on assignment for three years in Slovakia to set up and lead IBM’s European Finance Centre of Excellence. Patel brings a wealth of international and technology experience to HotSchedules and an operational, hands-on approach to the CFO role.
CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
In August of 2016, Neville Letzerich joined HotSchedules as the Chief Marketing Officer where he leads the global marketing organization. Previously, Mr. Letzerich was Chief Marketing Officer of Forcepoint (formerly Websense), a global leader in protecting organizations from cyber attacks and data theft. Prior to Forcepoint, Mr. Letzerich led the Product and Product Marketing organizations at Bazaarvoice, a SaaS provider of Social Commerce Solutions. There he was accountable for product management, design, delivery, and marketing.
Prior to Bazaarvoice, Mr. Letzerich served in several executive positions in the Information Intelligence Group at EMC Corporation, a $16B provider of IT solutions and consulting with over 40,000 employees in 50 countries. Here he led global marketing, sales, and engineering initiatives. He earned a BS in Analytical Finance and Accounting from Wake Forest University.
CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Nikki Hall is HotSchedules’ Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), where she leads employee acquisition and development, and oversees the strategic link between HotSchedules’ talent and the company’s overall corporate growth. With over 25 years of human resources experience, Ms. Hall’s professional expertise includes talent acquisition, training, employee engagement, and management.
Before joining HotSchedules, Ms. Hall served as chief human resources officer at TwentyEighty, where she oversaw the start-up and management of strategic HR functions for the organization, including through its acquisitions of eight training companies in 12 months. Prior to that, she ran her own boutique merger and acquisition integration consulting company, Xceleration Partners, as well as serving as global CHRO for SHL/PreVisor.
CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER
Mr. Kondis became CRO of HotSchedules in January of 2017 after spending the past 15 years at SAP Ariba. At SAP Ariba he held various VP and General Management positions, most recently the SVP for the Global Customer Organization responsible for all ongoing customer relationships and for supporting the growth of SAP Ariba’s global business.
Prior to SAP Ariba, Mr. Kondis was with Andersen Business Consulting and Gemini Consulting, both management consulting firms, where he advised firms on strategy, operations and supply chain transformation initiatives across a variety of industries. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. in General Business from the University of Texas at Austin.
CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
Brian is a software executive with over 15 years in the enterprise software marketplace. He currently leads the development and operations across the HotSchedules SaaS portfolio. Mr. Gaffney’s tenure includes leadership positions in sales, product development, and technical consulting. He has a proven track record of driving commercial and technical results for venture-backed companies like Emotive Communications, Symplified, AppDynamics, and AmberPoint.
Prior to these startups, Mr. Gaffney led the design and build out of large-scale, custom software system for private Department of Defense clients as an architect in Booz Allen Hamilton’s technology practice. Mr. Gaffney holds an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame.
CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER
John Herbst is the Chief Legal Officer and Board Secretary at HotSchedules where he leads legal operations. Prior to joining HotSchedules, Mr. Herbst led legal departments and corporate development functions at public and private growth and technology oriented companies, including Adknolwedge, Inc., Fiberweb plc and Pentax Corporation. Mr. Herbst also spent 8 years in private practice as a corporate attorney with Clifford Chance (in New York and London) and Lowenstein Sandler (New York).
Mr. Herbst holds a B.A. in political Science from James Madison University, a J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University and an M.B.A. jointly granted by NYU Stern Business School, London School of Economics and HEC, Paris.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF GLOBAL CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT
Matt Leone is the Vice President of Global Customer Management at HotSchedules where he leads the Account Executive teams, Customer Management organization, and Global Enterprise Services team. Mr. Leone has nearly 20 years in the software industry sector where he held numerous executive leadership positions.
Most recently as Global Head of SAP Cloud Adoption and Revenue Retention, including one of SAP’s largest Cloud units, SuccessFactors. Prior to that role, Mr. Leone spent 11 years at Ariba, an SAP company. He earned a BS in Finance from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.
