Why Can’t I See Which Manager is Working?

It’s Friday and you have big plans for tonight after your shift. There’s just one thing you need to know – which manager will be working. Will it be the one who will let you leave as soon as your side work is done, or will it be the other guy. You know the one.
With HotSchedules, you can always see who else is working, as long as you are both on the same schedule. To see who else is working, simply click the View Entire Schedule drop down to reveal all of the schedules you have access to.
Each schedule will display the employees assigned to that schedule only, but will display their weekly schedule regardless of which one you are currently viewing. For example, you could be viewing the Wait Staff schedule, but see that your friend Benjamin is working tomorrow on the Cook schedule. Because you and Benjamin both occasionally get scheduled on Wait Staff schedule, you are able to see his Cook shifts even though you, yourself, don’t have access to the Cook schedule. The only way to see when a manager is working, would be to be granted access to the Manager schedule, or to have all the managers assigned to all schedules.
Why doesn’t HotSchedules allow all users to view all other users’ shifts regardless of schedule assignment? Privacy. Depending on your settings, it’s possible for anyone who can view your shifts to have access to your phone number. That might be helpful when you’re trying to trade shifts, but probably isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
