The growing multi-unit fast-casual concept (they now have over 90 stores) has been able to reduce the time it takes to create employee schedules by 75%. Their managers have also been to cut labor costs by nearly 1% .
Most recently, Newk’s Eatery won QSR’s 2016 Applied Technology Award for their use of HotSchedules Train, a restaurant e-learning software system.
We’re thrilled to announce and welcome our newest customer, Newk’s Express Café! Created by the founders of McAlister’s Deli, Newk’s is a fast casual restaurant serving fresh, made-to-order salads, oven-baked sandwiches, California-style pizzas, soup and homemade cakes. Newk’s piloted HotSchedules Enterprise at three locations before rolling out to all 27 locations.
Before HotSchedules, Newk’s was using a mix of different scheduling methods, a strategy that was time-consuming for management and required continuous maintenance to remain accurate.
Newk’s co-founder Chris Newcomb told us, “We were looking for a user-friendly solution that would allow our management teams to schedule quickly and more efficiently… HotSchedules has made work easier for our team at all levels.”
Newk’s has seen a variety of benefits, including decreased payroll and a scheduling system that keeps employees happy and frees up more time for management.
