Here’s what our own back-of-house teams have been working on to make your restaurant operations way easier.
Digital Red Book
You’ve got a full house, your kitchen is cranking out calamari like it’s about to go extinct. The last thing you want to think about is logging in with your full username and password every time. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Now in the Digital Red Book settings area, you can set up a 4 digit PIN. Once you have a PIN setup, you can use it to quickly log back in when the Digital Red Book times out.
New Reports and Forecasting
Managers accessing HotSchedules have a number of reports available to them, including schedule and roster reports, employee request reports, overtime-warning reports and more.
We’re excited to rollout all new reporting and forecasting tabs in HotSchedules. It’s the same functionality and information you’ve come to love, we’ve improved how you move around your Reporting Dashboard.
Add favorites by selecting and adding multiple reports to your favorite tab. Plus, view your recent history of report selections.
From any report saved in Favorites, you can delete, generate or print the report. Hovering over the reports will also give you a description.
The Forecast Tab has several new improvements to help you visualize adjustments.
The week and day graphs have been updated to show more forecasted information. The week view will display a summation of projected labor hours for each day of the week while also showing a running total of forecasted and historical sales.
When creating adjustments, selection will be highlighted in blue to make it easier to know what day the adjustment applies. The day picker will also align to their workweek.
A new column has also been added to each day of a week when viewing forecasts that display labor driver data.
Sales and labor driver labels will now display on the forecasting landing page.
On the Job Training
Training managers are in for a treat with Schoox’s new On the Job Training feature.
To set up On the Job Training within a course, navigate to the course’s panel and click Edit under On the Job Training.
To add a new On the Job Training Event, name the event in the field and click Add new on the job training.
Add as many tasks as you need to satisfy the coursework for On the Job Training.
Set it up so that the student/employee is able to review their evaluation. You are also able to add a date of the event, which is used as a reference in this instance. Make the event visible when finished.
The student/employee can also verify that they completed each task, review their performance and any comments that could help them with future on the job training.
