Each year, the Editorial Board of Nation’s Restaurant News recognizes forward-thinking companies at the leading edge of foodservice that also show strong potential for growth.
Four of the winners have another hot topic in common – LYFE Kitchen, PDQ, Protein Bar and Slater’s 50/50 all rely on HotSchedules as their employee scheduling and labor management software.
“It’s no coincidence that the majority of the winners are using HotSchedules,” said Anthony Lye, CEO of Red Book Connect. “Labor is a huge piece of the financial success of a restaurant. We’re incredibly proud to be able to serve as a scheduling and labor management solution for these fast growing brands.”
“At NRN, we are surprised and delighted every year with our Hot Concepts winners and what they deliver. They’re always bold, creative and built to succeed with today’s consumers who embrace new ideas,” added NRN editor-in-chief Sarah Lockyer. “We look forward to celebrating these outstanding brands during the MUFSO show.
Now in its 20th year, Hot Concepts is one of the industry’s most prestigious award programs.
Honorees had to have opened their first restaurant unit less than seven years prior to receiving the award and have a minimum of three restaurant units in different market areas or a minimum of five units in one market area.
They are also awarded based on their solid financial ranking according to Dunn & Bradstreet as well as other financial benchmarks.
