The first half of the year has been a busy one for the HotSchedules Train team. We’ve been listening to what restaurants want out of an already robust e-learning solution and making improvements big and small! Our latest release gives you controls to customize your restaurant training program, monitor the progress of learners and create and upload content and make it mobile.

Correlate Training and other KPIs
Measure the success of your overall restaurant training program with data from outside sources like sales, guest count and per person average sales (ppa.) Correlate that data with your employees’ training activity, including overall training specific courses, or by curriculum.
Administrators can also evaluate any node in the organization hierarchy – across the company, one area, one location, even down to a specific job code or individual employee.
Proactively Manage Career and Learning Paths
In HotSchedules Train you can already connect key restaurant skills to jobs and courses to build dynamic learning paths.
Now, paths are presented in the context of a job (e.g. General Manager, Bartender, etc) and learners can see their progress against their current path in addition to exploring other paths that may be of interest. This type of career guidance promotes retention and the development of your top contributors.
Change Academy Labels
Administrators can now change Academy Labels to fit the nomenclature of your organization. Don’t like the term Lecture? Change it. Do you refer to your users as Employees or Learners? Now you get to decide! The changes will apply to the entire interface of your Academy.

Turn External Members into Employees
Training third parties and want to track their progress? Maybe you want to train your suppliers on your food safety procedures and document their completion? Administrators can now turn external members of an academy into employees and monitor their progress.
Content Library is now Mobile
Mobile users can now access the content library through the native app for Android and iOS. Administrators can easily upload video content direct to the content library via the mobile app. Once the content is uploaded, it can also be shared and managed through the app.
Upload and Share Personal Files
Mobile users can now upload and share their personal files through the Schoox app, as long as they have the required permissions.
Create Polls to Measure your Restaurant Training Program
To build the most effective restaurant training program, you have to talk to your users. Use polls to reach out and empower your team.

Send Course Announcements
Employees always finish their homework on time, right? We’re laughing too. Which is why we’ve made it easy to remind your awesome employees when they haven’t completed a specific course. The message will appear on the Train homepage and a push notification will reinforce that message through the mobile application.
Integrate with Google Analytics
Add your Google Analytics Tracking Code in Train and monitor user activity inside your Academy.
