HotSchedules Train (powered by Schoox) got some cool new features this September and October. The team has been hard at work enhancing the administrative functions and controls as well as the all-important reporting tools.

Mark an Employee’s Curriculum as Completed

Academy administrators or training managers can mark an individual’s course work as complete.

To mark a course or courses as complete for a student, navigate to the Employees Dashboard under Reporting, and click the individual’s name. To mark a single course as complete, click the wrench icon within that course. Check the box next to Mark as Completed, and save.

Require an Employee Retake a Course

HotSchedules Train already shows you how long an employee spent on a course, an exam or curriculum. So it’s easy to see which employees might not have spent enough time going through the training. By default, students can take courses as often as they’d like.

This new feature will let administrators require an employee to retake a completed course and track each completion attempt separately.

To require a student to retake a course, navigate to the Employees Dashboard under Reporting and click the individual’s name. Click Oblige to Retake and save. You can also choose to mark the now previous attempt as complete. The student will then be notified that they need to retake the course and they will no longer be able to see their previous progress. Admins can view this information by clicking the retake icon within the course.

As a training manager or administrator, it’s crucial to have training insights at your fingertips. The new updates to the Curriculum Reporting Tools showcase a full overview of the employee’s progress, including reports for each course, exam and on-the-job training that are part of the curriculum.

Set Visibility Rules Based on Job Codes / Categories

Not everyone needs to see every piece of content or curriculum. HotSchedules Train now lets you set exception rules based on job type or category.
