Sticker shock. We’ve all experienced the foggy confusion when you realize you’ve shelled out more of your hard-earned dollars than expected – especially when it’s a repeat order. Lucky for you, the fog is clearing. With the latest release of HotSchedules Inventory, you can see price history and changes at the item level and receive an alert when a price has reached a set threshold.

Other enhancements this week include the ability to submit your order to your supplier with the click of a button. The inventory app will also save you time. First off, the inventory app reduced the steps it takes to set up a count. We’ve also added a conversion ratio in both the import and export files of the vendor catalog, and you can quickly identify which PO number is tied to a specific receiving list. We’re excited about these improvements and hope you are too!

PRICE HISTORY AND ALERT REPORT

Price History

The Price History Report shows when prices change on individual items over a certain period of time. This report will help you decide if it’s time to make a substitution, change a recipe or shop around for more competitive prices.

Price Alerts

Price Alerts send a notification through the app, alerting you when a price in a category exceeds a threshold you have created – helping you get ahead of any surprises.

AUTOMATIC ORDER SUBMISSION

Creating an order from your count was already pretty easy, but getting that order over to your supplier took a little extra work. Don’t sweat it anymore, because now once you click “Submit” from your order draft, an email with a purchase will automatically be sent to your designated supplier contact.

Count Setup Enhancements

Remember back in the old days when you had to set pars more than once if an item was stored in multiple locations? You won’t have to worry about that ever again because the process is streamlined. Now you only have to set your item pars and locations once. One and done!

We’re Not Done Yet!

All of the shiny, new upgrades we just told you about are pretty great, but here are a few other minor updates we think you’ll enjoy as well:

    • n

    • The Conversion Ratio is included in both the Vendor Catalog import and export files.

    • The On-Hand Report will now automatically load for the current day.

    • A new field in the draft and completed Receiving List will provide more clarity on the original PO number from which the receiving list was created.
