Today is a big day for us. First, I have to wish HotSchedules a Happy Birthday! On this day, 12 years ago, we officially filed the paperwork to incorporate as HotSchedules! We had been organized and moving toward that goal since 1999, but 5/16/2000 was the official “inc” date.

Today was also the kick-off of our new monthly Best Practices webinar series. These are designed to give existing customers a piece of our “power user” insight so they can get the absolute most out of HotSchedules. Each month we’ll feature a different deep dive session so that all of our customers can hone their skills and squeeze as much ROI out of the tools as they can. If you’ve never used HotSchedules, you might still consider joining one of these sessions to see some of the in-depth reports and functionality our solutions deliver.

Today’s session covered Labor Proforma, Charts, the Roster Report, Forecasting sales, Labor Card Report and general scheduling. Our own Chris Manuel led the session, as well as the subsequent Q&A portion of the webinar. Some of the questions he fielded included:

Q: Can we customize the time you sync with our POS?

A: Generally speaking, sync times are based on when your POS updates, so we have to wait until after your POS has the updated data.

Q: Can we budget based on shift?

A: Yes! (and then he showed us how)

Q: Can I get a message back, even if the employee deleted it?

A: Yes, all messages are stored at HotSchedules, are the property of your company, and can be retrieved at any time.

Wish you had attended? Not to worry! We’ll be re-running these webinars throughout the year, so we’ll be reviewing similar topics in future webinars. Even if the topic is different, jump on the line if you want to learn more or ask any specific questions. Our next webinar will be coming up in mid-June, so stay tuned!
